Coal Creek Rotary develops its projects around humanitarian, intercultural, and educational programs and activities designed to improve the human condition and achieve the ultimate goal of world understanding and peace. Though not always the case, the club's projects have traditionally fallen into the following categories:
* Children at Risk
* Disabled Persons
* International Understanding and Goodwill
* Literacy and Numeracy
* Population issues
* Preserve Planet Earth
* Urban Concerns
Two of our recent projects are depicted above. The first photo reveals the flagstone that rests in the club's xeriscape garden next to the Louisville Recreation Center. The club took on the project to commemorate Rotary International's 100-year celebration and to create awareness for the lack of water along Colorado's front range. The second picture shows the solar oven that our club helped purchase for a village in Africa. The club purchased the oven to both provide food and prevent deforestation in the region.
